Richard Pacheco & The Revolution - "Reina De Mi Amor"
This song was originally released on a Carnal Records 45 in the 70's. A couple of years ago, Tomas and his uncle, Richard, were going through some old Tejano vinyl at his house. The collection was amazing and included original out of print LP's from some of the greats such as Augustine Ramirez, Little Joe, Sunny Ozuna, and Ruben Ramos. A master pressing plate for this single was included in the many recordings from various artists that Richard gave Tomas to try to restore. Unfortunately this was the only one of his recordings that were in good enough condition to try to restore. The flip side "It's Impossible" was not. They talked about trying to obtain some of the other recordings and releasing a cd. This single is actually phase one of making his dream come true. If you happen have a good copy of any of the many singles that he released on his Carnal label, and would be kind enough to loan them to us on a temporary basis, please email Tomas at tpacheco@hotmail.com I cannot afford to pay you, but your name will be in the liner notes of the cd and you will receive a free copy. All materials will be returned. We will receive no compensation from the sale of this cd. All proceeds (sales minus duplication costs) will be donated to Viet Now, which was Richard's favorite Viet Nam veteran organization.
